Shelter & Housing

This is another area that has taken a life of its own. While living in the village in Non Tong I was very moved by the living conditions of some of the people, especially the younger families.

We have committed to build 2 houses this year and to continue each year to either repairing or constructing new dwellings.


Education

There is a noticeable difference in the cost of education in the villages and in Chiang Mai city because in the village education is very basic and whereas in the cities it is of a higher standard and of a higher cost.

There is a huge effort by parents to educate their children properly as they are very much aware that it’s the only chance that their children have of a decent future. This is reflected by the fact that there are 9,000 pupils attending The Prince Royal`s Collge in Chiang Mai.
