As some of you may be aware, our logo for our website

is  a photo of a young girl from Nong Tong village which was taken

in November 2007 and when I was back there in August 2008

I was unable to locate her. So in April of this year I again tried

to find her but to no avail. So it was with great delight that at one

of our meetings in the village that she arrived with her mother

and family and we have got all details about her which I will publish

for all to get to know her better.

               Some pictures of Atapha in Ban Nong Tong,

Taken during my recent trip in April-May 2009. You

can see him getting his hair cut by Lino, lying on his bed

in his new home and with myself on the morning of my

departure from the village.

The great news is Atapha`s house has been completely finished

and I have to say a huge gratitude is due to everybody that

had a part to play in the fund raising for the construction of

this house. I am sure that in time many of you will visit Atapha

and see for yourselves the difference this has made to

Atapha`s life. The whole project was formed around Atapha

and this is really the start of things to come.

So thank you all again.

Lots happening.

You will all be delighted to hear that Atapha`s house is completely finished and that work has started on Asama`s house. Plenty of pictures from Ban Nong Tong which I will publish shortly.

              We have 21 children who are part of our education scheme and here you can see a number of them. In time I intend to provide a complete profile of each child, of their background and their personal circumstances and how we hope  we can help them with their future.

               Here we have photos of some of the children that we are helping with finance for their education. Each child has their own story to tell.

             A general view of life in Nong Tong village.

          A little look at a local celebration in Nong Tong village which is a communal affair with everybody participating in cooking and eating. There is a great community spirit among the Lisu Hill Tribe and their ancient culture is still very strong with family ties  of upmost importance.

             Here we can see Lino in discussion with the builder about the finer deails of the construction and the head man of Nong Tong village observing the foundations being built. Also we can see Atapha sitting out side keeping a close eye on the progress of his new home and enjoying every minute of it.
